Girls Basketball go 5-0 at the Hays Hawk Classic in Buda, Texas. Mansfield Summit (71-35) Highlands High School (77-18) Hays Hawks (57-47) Coronado High (56-28) College Station High School (66-35). The Cowgirls had a state-level practice while at the tournament taking those fundamentals and attributes from practice into their games, leading to huge wins. The most competitive game was against the Hays Hawks which was fast-paced, but the Cowgirls responded and once again came out on top. Coronado Mustangs stayed close for a half, but Cowgirls broke away in the third. Julianna Lamendola continues top play with a great tournament. Saiya Patel contributed key and many defensive steals allowing Cowgirls to extend leads. Waverly Hassman competed hard with the outstanding defense. The Cowgirls as usual took many charges in order to finish defensive stands. Jules Lamendola, Ella Spiller, and Waverly Hassman all received awards for the tournament.
