SWIMMERS TAKE 3RD OVERALL AT TISCA INVITATIONAL

Swimmers take 3rd overall at TISCA Invitational

TISCA is Coppell swimmers' mid-season meet lasting a total of three days with a prelims and finals for all events. Our swimmers created an amazing environment for their teammates to race in as there was always someone cheering when a Coppell swimmer was in the water. Coppell Boys placed 3rd with 277 total points posting many outstanding times, along with the girls placing 7th overall with 158 points and many new school records to put Coppell in third overall as a team. Opponents included Prosper, Lewisville, Lewisville Marcus, Lewisville Flower Mound, Lewisville Hebron, Colleyville Heritage, Dallas Jesuit, Dallas Highland Park, Denton Braswell, Denton Guyer, Frisco, Grapevine, McKinney, Plano, and Plano East.

Records Broken:
Boys broke the 400 freestyle school record with a time of 3:15.65. This relay consisted of Jonathan Ting, Nathan Kim, Gabriel Campos, and Sean Li.
Katy Jost broke her own 200 freestyle record twice, going a 1:54.52, and a 1:54.02.
Annie Chang broke her current 50 freestyle record going a 24.10 in prelims.

Top performances:
Girls 200 Freestyle relay consisting of Annie Chang, Nalini Agnihotri, Belen Campos, and Katy Jost placed 2nd overall and was less than half a second away from a new school record.
Boys 200 Medley Relay of Arjun Baindur, Gabriel Campos, Justin Chang, and Amav Khambete placed 6th overall.
Sean Li placed 2nd in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:45.13 and second in the 100 Breaststroke going a 57.94.
Gabriel Campos placed 3rd in the 200 IM with a 1:58.81 and took 8th in the 100 Breaststroke with a 59.99.
Jonathan Ting placed 3rd overall in the 100 Fly with a time of 51.71 and placed 6th in the 100 backstroke with a 55.11.
Coppell Boys took first in the 200 freestyle relay, and almost broke the record. This relay consisted of Arjun Baindur, Sean Li, Jonathan Ting, and Nathan Kim.
Asher Johnson placed 7th in the 100 Breaststroke during finals with a time of 59.89
