Coppell took home a 5-2 victory over Dallas Jesuit in game 1 of the Area Championship on Thursday.

Coppell got things started in the second inning when Andrew Schultz singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Andrew Nester led things off on the hill for Coppell. The ace went four innings, allowing two runs on six hits, striking out four and walking one. Will Boylan came in out of the pen and threw 3 innings allowing just 2 hits and striking out 4.

Will Boylan, TJ Pompey, Michael Russell, Schultz, Walker Polk, Landry Fee, and Tanner Sever all had one hit to lead Coppell Cowboys Varsity.
