Revenge is a dish best served cold…and with a chance to avenge their only loss on the year the Cowgirls did not disappoint. Starting off with a charge taken by Jules LaMendola on the Panthers to set the tone.
Going into half time The Cowgirls led 22-15 but during the 3rd The Panthers stormed back to take a 1 point lead that eventually disappeared with India Howard putting on some great interior moves and Plano East getting a timely technical by losing their composure because of how every girl on the Cowgirls were vastly superior in strength and physicalness than anyone East had. The Cowgirls take a big one at home 46-40.
Jules LaMendola led the Cowgirls with 15, India Howard had 10, Allyssa Potter had 11 to lead the Cowgirls in scoring. Waverly Hassman helped take on a ball handling role and calmed the Cowgirls down when they needed. Ella Spiller and Saiya Patel did so much on the defensive end and held Plano East’s SMU commit to a season low 6 points!! Way to go Cowgirls.
Come out tomorrow night as we play Flower Mound for a chance at a district championship!!
