The Cowboys' JV Red team were in a tough match-up this week against the Highland Park Scots. The team fought long and hard, but in the end tied the Scots 22-22. Barron Tipton and Alex Holder were the offensive players of the week. They both added to the success of the offense through the pass game. Richardson Sudderth had an amazing interception and Jake Logsdon led the team in tackles, making them the defensive players of the week.
The Cowboys' JV Black team suffered a loss this week against the Scots. The team managed to score on a safety, but the offense struggled to move the ball down the field. Offensively, running back Jonathan Thompson stuck out with his rough style of running the ball. Defensively, Cameron Knowlton was the player of the game.
The Cowboys' Freshmen White team were in a close game all the way until the end against the Scots. In the end, they lost 40-7. Quarterback, Edward Griffen threw touchdowns to Scott Fishpaw and Beckam Sanguras. Running back, Chris Searcy was able to score twice, making him the player of the game. Defensively, the secondary for the Cowboys struggled to keep the Scots’ receivers at bay.
The Cowboys' Freshman Silver team was taken down by the Highland Parks Scots this week. Offensive players of the week were AJ Gonzales and Joshua Lock. Defensive player of the game was Cole Mitchell.
The Cowboys' Freshmen Platinum team took on the Allen Eagles this week at home. The defense played an impressive game, but offensively, the team struggled to move the ball down the field. The offensive player of the game was Caden Naef. The defensive player of the game was Daniel Harris.
