Your Cowgirl Wrestling Team won the District Championships this past Saturday in Allen. The squad won the meet by only 10 points over Prosper and 12 points over host Allen.
The championship was won by a total team effort with all 9 wrestlers scoring points.
Hannah Francis won her second individual district title. She was joined on the podium by Maria Husain, who won her first title.
Ananya Sampathkumar, Scout Carrell, and Dorian Villalba all finished in 2nd place. Tucker Sparks was third. Araceli Reynoso, Sarah Valadez, and Cassie Bonacci each finished 4th.
This is the Cowgirl's eighth district title in a row.
The team next wrestles at the UIL Regional Championship this Friday and Saturday at Allen.
