Coppell Cowboys Varsity Falls To Plano After Fifth Inning Score
Friday's game against Plano was a heartbreaker for the Cowboys, as they lost the lead late in a 3-2 defeat. The game was tied at two with Plano batting in the top of the fifth when an error scored one run for Plano. The pitching was strong on both sides. Plano pitchers struck out eight, while Cowboys sat down three. The Cowboys opened up scoring in the second inning. Tony Vernars singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. Will Rodman took the loss for the Cowboys. The pitcher surrendered three runs on seven hits over six and a third innings, striking out two and walking one.

The Cowboys take on the Plano West Wolves on Tuesday, March 23, at 7:30 at the CISD Baseball Complex.
