Coppell hosted the Hebron Hawks last night in a battle of two of the District's top teams. While Coppell holds a one game lead on first place, Hebron came in controlling the 4th and final playoff spot.
After a half of basketball, the Hawks held a commanding 13 point lead at the break. However, the Cowboys stepped up the effort on both ends, holding the Hawks to 22 points in the 2nd half, while scoring 45, for a final score of 66-56.
Coppell's Devank Rane scored a career high 16 points, 8 in the 3rd quarter to spark the Cowboys run. Ryan Agarwal led the 'boys in scoring with 18, while Naz Brown and Anthony Black chipped in 13 & 11, respectively. Ben Klement and Tim O'Hearn added 4 each to round out the scoring.
The Cowboys are back in action Friday, 1/29, hosting the Lewisville Fighting Farmers.
