The varsity girls opened the spring season playing in the district preview tournament at The Tribute golf course Jan. 18,19. The girls battled through 2 days of cold temperatures and lots of wind to earn their first victory of the spring season.
The girls shot 308 on day 1 good for a 6 shot lead over Plano West.
On day 2, the winds picked up which made for higher scores from everyone. The girls held on to first place shooting 322.
The team was led by senior Chelsea Romas and junior Lauren Rios who tied for 4th place shooting a two day total of 156. Also Senior Jamie Welsh tied for 8th place shooting 158. Juniors Mia Gaboriau and Miyoko Tan finished 15th and 17th place respectively.

Next tournament is Jan.29,30 at Bridlewood Golf Club.
