Friday night the Cowboys took on Flower Mound in their last district game of the year. Early, the Cowboys trailed 7-0 before coming back to tie the score 7-7. From that point on, they would take the lead and not look back. With the 51-28 victory, the Cowboys enter the playoffs with a little momentum.
Offensively, the Cowboys were led by Jason Ngwu who rushed 28 times for 226 yards and 2 touchdowns. Ryan Walker passed the ball 25 times with 11 completions for 118 and 1 touchdown. Micheal Rodriguez rushed 6 times for 63 yards and 1 touchdown.
Defensively, the Cowboys were led by Cannon Peters who recorded 1
interception for a touchdown, to go along with 8 tackles. Charlie Barker added 1 fumble recovery against 6 tackles. Jack Mcadams aided the defensive effort with 7 overall tackles with one of those being a tackle for a loss. Next week the Cowboys travel to Denton to take on Denton Guyer in the Bi-District Round of the playoffs.
