Friday night the Cowboys traveled to Plano to take on Plano East. After trailing 7-0, the Cowboys stormed back and took complete control of the game. Needing a win to obtain a tighter grip on their playoff chances, all three phrases stepped up their level of play. In the end, the Cowboys moved one step closer to securing a playoff spot with a 49-26 victory. Defensively, the Cowboys were led by Tim O'Hearn who recorded 11 and 1 interception. Preston Rogers, Cannon Peters, and Febechi Nwaiwi each chipped in 7 tackles each. Isiah Nichols also had an interception to help the defensive effort.
Offensively, the Cowboys were led by Jason Ngwu who rushed 22 times for 141 yards. Michael Rodriguez carried the ball 4 timers for 28 yards and a touchdown. Anthony Black caught 6 passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns. KJ Liggins also caught 6 passes for 126 yards and 2 touchdowns. Ryan Walker had another stellar night passing the ball with 321 yards passing and 6 touchdowns. Next Friday, the Cowboys host Flower Mound for their last regular-season game.
