The cowboys opened up district play with a win over the Plano Wildcats. Getting off to a fast start worked to the Cowboy's advantage as the Wildcats would not go quietly into the gentle, cool night. Leading 35-13, the Wildcats mounted a fierce comeback. In the end, the cowboys would hold off the Wildcats and get the win 35-33.

Offensively, the Cowboys were led by RB Jason Ngwu who rushed for 92 yards on 23 carries. QB Ryan Walker rushed for 87 yards on 12 carries and passed for 287 yards and 4 touchdowns. KJ Liggins caught 3 passes for 134 and 1 touchdown.

Defensively, the Cowboys were led by Preston Rogers who recorded 16 tackles. Jack McAdams and Tim O'Hearn both had 11 tackles. Charlie Barker, Fernando Pando, and Jake Roemer each pitched in 8 tackles. Next week the Cowboys host Plano West for homecoming.
