Coppell’s cross country teams faced a deep statewide field at Nike South, with the Cowboys’ elite squads producing top-15 team finishes and two individual top-15 performances.

Junior Sidharth Kerthipati led Coppell’s Elite Boys team with a 15th-place finish in 15 minutes, 34.70 seconds. The Cowboys placed eighth as a team with 275 points.

Senior Tanish Neelapu finished 56th in 16:23.10, followed by Itsuki Pena in 84th at 16:41.60, Alesh Khowala in 94th at 16:47.70 and Abishek Suresh in 99th at 16:49.00. Coppell’s scoring five were separated by 1 minute, 14 seconds.

Senior Maya Easterwood delivered Coppell’s top individual finish of the meet, placing seventh in the Elite Girls race in 18:05.90. Coppell finished 14th in the Elite Girls standings with 374 points. Bishakha Sinha, Mirabelle Sagel, Rachel Stumm and Anusha Patki completed the Cowboys’ scoring group.

In the Varsity Boys division, Coppell placed 13th. Cannon Stehly paced the Cowboys in 40th place with a time of 17:19.60. Ahan Kothalkar, Rigved Nehere, Marco Noyola and Vihaan Sharma followed in the scoring lineup.

Coppell’s Varsity Girls team placed 18th, led by Shrriya Bedse’s 78th-place finish in 22:13.50. Adeline Mendola, Hannah Stumm, Anandi Dhulipalla and Mackenzie Fluornoy rounded out the team’s top five.

The Nike South field brought together runners from across Texas, including many of the state’s top programs.
