Coppell Tennis continued its strong start to the season Tuesday with a 17-1 road win over Lake Highlands.

The Cowboys and Cowgirls swept all seven official doubles matches to take control early. Kasi Kavali and Cody Chow won the No. 1 boys doubles match 5-4(3), 4-1, while Ethan Yang and Ivan Morales won 4-0, 4-1. Sunny Tupurani and Eshaan Reddy completed the boys doubles sweep with a 5-3, 4-2 victory.

On the girls side, Varsha Sivaprasad and Gloria Sun won 4-1, 4-1 at No. 1 doubles. Anna Hartley and Mihika Modi won 4-2, 4-1, and Rachel Howe and Srushti Shelar added a 5-3, 4-2 victory. Steve Jack and Palkin Gangwal won the mixed doubles match 4-2, 4-2.

Coppell carried that advantage into singles. Yang, Jack, Reddy, Ivan Morales Miranda and Abhihjay Mantena all earned boys singles victories. Palkin Gangwal, Gloria Sun, Mihika Modi, Anna Hartley and Ananya Miyapuram added wins on the girls side.

Lake Highlands’ lone point came at No. 5 girls singles, where Ria Gaitonde defeated Chloe Ahmad 4-2, 4-1.

Coppell also picked up additional wins from Arnav Ambegaonkar and Prathamesh Jaikumar in extra boys singles matches. Leyton Wang’s No. 6 boys singles match was unfinished.
