Coppell Volleyball celebrated Senior Night with a dominant 3-0 sweep of Crandall on August 21 at the Coppell High School Arena.
The Cowgirls controlled the match from start to finish, winning by scores of 25-17, 25-11, and 25-7.
Before the match, Coppell recognized seven seniors for their contributions to the program: Hailey Chew, Emmalee Sheppard, Reagan Clark, Taliah Ellis, Finley Penniman, Brooke Felix, and Addison Howard.
Senior Night also celebrated what comes next for the Class of 2027. Finley Penniman will continue her volleyball career at Berry College, while Brooke Felix will play at Oklahoma Christian University. In her message to the seniors, Coach Ross emphasized that their impact on the program extends beyond wins and volleyball, pointing to the friendships, traditions and example they leave for the players who follow them.
Felix led the Cowgirls with 12 kills, eight digs, and two blocks. Penniman added seven kills and three blocks, while Ellis also recorded three blocks.
Zoey Ponsen directed the offense with 28 assists and added five aces and 11 digs. Howard finished with 11 digs, while Chew added eight.
With the win, Coppell improves to 6-4 on the season.
At the subvarsity level, JV earned a 2-0 victory with set scores of 25-14 and 25-19. The 9A team also won 2-0, 25-4 and 25-16. The 9B team did not play.
