Coppell Volleyball fell to Waxahachie 3-0 on August 18 at the Coppell High School Arena. The Cowgirls battled through a tight opening set before falling 29-27, then dropped the next two sets 25-20 and 25-19.

Brooke Felix led the Cowgirls offensively with 12 kills, while Taylor Mechsner added nine kills and three blocks. Emma Rose directed the offense with 22 assists and also contributed nine digs.

At the net, Finley Penniman recorded six blocks and Taliah Ellis added four. Defensively, Hailey Chew led Coppell with 16 digs.

The loss moves the Cowgirls to 5-4 on the season.

At the subvarsity level, JV fell 2-0 by scores of 25-13 and 25-21. The 9A team lost 2-0, 25-22 and 25-18, while 9B fell 2-1 by scores of 25-15, 12-25 and 25-16.
