Coppell boys golf turned in a strong showing at the 6A Region I Tournament, finishing tied for fourth place with a two-day total of 597 (+21).
The Cowboys opened with a 298 in round one and followed with a 299 in round two, matching Keller for fourth in a competitive regional field. Southlake Carroll won the team title at 581, followed by Marcus at 590 and Dallas Jesuit at 594.
Jack Patton led the way for Coppell with an outstanding tournament, finishing fifth individually at even par with a 144. After shooting a 74 in the opening round, Patton bounced back with a terrific 70 in round two, one of the best scores in the field. His second round featured a steady, confident performance that helped keep Coppell in the mix throughout the tournament.
Rishab Shroff and Rishi Bapna each finished tied for 23rd at 150 (+6). Shroff posted rounds of 74 and 76, while Bapna matched those same scores over the two days. Charlie Sauer added a 153 (+9) to place 36th, and Nicolas Brown finished 48th with a 156 (+12).
As a team, the Cowboys showed consistency across both rounds and put together another competitive postseason performance against one of the toughest regional fields in the state.
