The Coppell girls golf team is headed to regionals after capturing the District 5-6A championship at Bear Creek Golf Club.

After shooting a 317 on Tuesday, the Cowgirls came back with a strong 307 on Wednesday to secure first place and bring home the district title. The 10-stroke improvement on day two helped Coppell separate itself from the field and continue a strong season with a championship finish.

Coppell had key performances throughout the tournament, including Riya Bapna, who placed 2nd, with a two-day total of 149, and Isabella Nguyen and Nethra Sheri, who each turned in a 157. The Cowgirls showed their depth across both rounds, with every score contributing to a first-place team effort.

Cowgirls will compete next at the Girls 5-6A Regional Golf Tournament on Monday and Tuesday, April 15 and 16, at Tangle Ridge Golf Club in Grand Prairie.
