After a high-scoring performance earlier in the week, the Coppell Cowboys were held in check Friday night, falling 3–1 to Marcus.
The loss marks Coppell’s first defeat against Marcus this season, as the Cowboys were unable to generate the same offensive rhythm that fueled their previous outing.
Sebastian Duran accounted for Coppell’s lone goal, continuing his strong season with his third score of the year.
Despite the setback, Coppell remains in a strong position with a 14-4-4 record. Marcus, meanwhile, improved to 16-3-2 and extended its road winning streak to three matches.
The Cowboys will look to respond quickly as they return to action Friday night, hosting Plano East at 7:30 p.m.
