The Coppell girls wrestling team delivered an outstanding performance at the 2026 UIL Region I-6A Tournament, advancing six wrestlers to the UIL State Wrestling Tournament and showcasing the program’s continued rise on the regional stage.
Isabella “Bella” Malcolm secured a second-place finish, earning an automatic berth to state, while Trinitee Hobbs, Hailey Kennedy, Elizabeth Cummings, Ishitha “Ish” Malladi, and Elizabeth Urick each placed third in their respective weight classes to qualify for the state meet.
State qualifiers by weight:
Trinitee Hobbs – 100 lbs (3rd)
Hailey Kennedy – 120 lbs (3rd)
Elizabeth Cummings – 125 lbs (3rd)
Bella Malcolm – 135 lbs (2nd)
Ishitha Malladi – 145 lbs (3rd)
Elizabeth Urick – 155 lbs (3rd)
The six state qualifiers represent a significant postseason achievement for Coppell, as the Cowboys and Cowgirls competed against one of the deepest regional fields in Texas.
Coppell will now turn its attention to the UIL State Wrestling Tournament, where these athletes will represent the program on the sport’s biggest stage.
