The Coppell Cowgirls continued their strong start to district play Friday night, delivering a dominant 43–17 road win over Little Elm to remain unbeaten in district competition.

The Cowgirls established control early with relentless defensive pressure, setting the tone on the defensive end and making every possession difficult for Little Elm. Coppell’s discipline, communication, and help-side rotations limited clean looks throughout the night, allowing the Cowgirls to dictate the pace and build separation early.

Coppell’s defense proved to be the difference, holding Little Elm to just 17 points and preventing any sustained offensive momentum. The Cowgirls consistently turned stops into scoring opportunities, maintaining energy and focus for all four quarters.

Offensively, Coppell showcased balance and depth, led by Amber Coffey, who paced the Cowgirls with 14 points while providing a steady presence throughout the game. Lauren VanPelt followed with 11 points, making a strong impact in the paint and finishing efficiently around the basket as Coppell continued to extend its lead.

The Cowgirls also received key contributions from Adriana Reijnen and Prisha Kolhe, who each scored five points and played crucial roles in controlling the game's flow. Ashley Hall added four points, along with physical defense and energy that helped Coppell maintain its intensity on both ends of the floor.

Coppell’s ability to spread production across the lineup reflected its team-first approach, with multiple players contributing through scoring, defense, and effort plays that do not always show up on the stat sheet. The Cowgirls’ depth allowed them to sustain pressure and execution throughout the game.

With the win, Coppell remains unbeaten in district action and continues to build momentum as district play progresses. The Cowgirls will look to carry their defensive identity and balanced offensive attack into upcoming matchups as they continue their pursuit of district success.

The next games will be at the Spring Creek Invitational, hosted at Mansfield High School. It starts on 12/29 until New Years Eve.
