Boys' Varsity Red Golf Team finishes 4th at the Bart Granger Memorial Tournament
On Friday, September 12th, and Saturday, September 13th, the Boys' Varsity Red Golf Team of Rishab Shroff, Charlie Sauer, Jack Patton, Rishi Bapna, and Sam Minteer competed in the Bart Granger Memorial Tournament at Pecan Valley Golf Course. The tournament is the largest high school tournament in the nation, with 52 teams competing in the field, including many of the top teams in the state.

The Cowboys finished in 4th place after shooting a 3-round total of 874 (294, 289, 291) team score, finishing behind 2024 6A State Champion Lake Travis, 2025 5A State Champion Prosper Walnut Grove, and 1 stroke behind district 5-6A rival and 2025 State Qualifier Flower Mound Marcus.

Jack Patton led the team, shooting a 3-round total of 214 (75, 70, 69) and placed tied for 11th out of 258 golfers. Rishab Shroff finished tied for 17th place with a 3-round total of 215 (71, 70, 74). Rishi Bapna and Charlie Sauer also had great rounds, with Rishi opening up with a 1 under par 71 in Round 1 and Charlie turning in a 2 over par 72 in Round 3. Sam Minteer played well in Round 2, turning in a score of 78.

The Varsity Red team will compete again on Tuesday, September 23rd, in the 36-hole Lake Travis Shootout in Austin.
