Steven Friedland is a mathematics teacher and cross country coach in Coppell ISD. Before joining Coppell, he coached squash for 10 years and golf for two years, earning a US Squash Level 2 certification.

Friedland earned a degree in General Education and Middle-Level Science from Central Washington University. He teaches athletes to show effort, remain willing to learn, and never give up—even after a loss. Outside school, he enjoys golf, video games, travel, and squash; he has lived and attended school in three different countries.
