Erin Kauffman serves as a Varsity Assistant Volleyball Coach and teaches psychology and sociology at Coppell High School. Before joining Coppell, she spent 10 years as the Head Volleyball Coach at Prosper High School, leading the program to the 2017 state championship, a state finalist appearance, and eight district championships. She was twice named *The Dallas Morning News* Coach of the Year and earned NFHS Texas High School Coach of the Year honors. Kauffman also coached at Lovejoy High School and Stephen F. Austin State University, contributing to three state championships at Lovejoy and two Southland Conference championships at SFA.

Kauffman played volleyball at Saint Louis University as a setter and libero, finishing her career ranked third in program history in assists and earning Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference honors. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Saint Louis University and a Master of Public Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University. Before college, she helped Cor Jesu Academy in St. Louis win consecutive state championships.

Kauffman coaches because she finds fulfillment in empowering young women to work together and accomplish something they never thought possible. She also readily admits that she is “the most competitive person in every room,” and coaching gives that competitive spirit a purpose.

Outside of school, Kauffman enjoys watching reality television and relaxing by the pool. She is also a member of the National Cursive Handwriting Society of America.
