Leah Henderson

Coach Leah Henderson enters her 1st year at Coppell. She currently serves as the PE Teacher/ Girls Coach at Coppell North MS. Coach Henderson brings 15 total years of coaching experience. His past coaching experience includes Vista Ridge HS ( 3 years):  Assistant Volleyball/ Assistant Soccer, Irma Marsh MS (4 years): Girls Athletic Coordinator Head 8th grade Volleyball/ Assistant Basketball, Grapevine MS (8 years):Girls Athletic Coordinator Head 8th grade Volleyball/ Assistant Basketball, Track. An impressive track of success, Coach Henderson posts Vista Ridge HS: 2nd Place at Volleyball State Champions, Soccer playoffs area, Irma Marsh MS District Undefeated Champions, Grapevine MS: District Volleyball  and Basketball District & Zone Champions 2015-16, District Basketball Champions 2019, Volleyball Zone Champions 2021 (first in Grapevine MS history). 


As an athlete, Coach Henderson played Volleyball (OH/DS), Basketball (Post), Track (Shot Put/Discus) with tremendous accolades including Southlake Carroll High All District. She went on to play Texas A&M University Club Volleyball (Travel Team) earning a Science and Human Development degree.


Away from coaching, Coach Henderson enjoys Interior design and fun fact, she used to sing the National Anthem before her high school volleyball games. Her favorite quote, “Nothing great was ever done without enthusiasm" -Bobby Knight


CISD Athletics is filled with coaches that care. When asked “Why you coach”, Coach Henderson responded “I love to help people achieve their goals and challenge themselves to be better. My coach was my mentor and motivator, which gave me a passion to want to give back to others. I find my career as a coach so rewarding to be able to make a difference in someone's life every single day.”
