Coach Ricky Friesen enters his 2nd year at Coppell. Coach Friesen brings 3 total years of coaching experience. His past coaching experience includes Gainesville High School. 

As an athlete, Coach Friesen played Basketball at South Gray High School. He went on to play basketball at Garden City Community College, earning a Sport Management degree from Wichita State University. 

Away from coaching, Coach Friesen enjoys watching sports and fun fact, he speaks German.

CISD Athletics is filled with coaches that care. When asked “Why you coach”, Coach Friesen responded “I coach because the main influences in my life have been coaches and I want to be that for the younger generation.”
