Matt Pino teaches Physical Education and coaches at Coppell Middle School East. Before joining Coppell ISD, he coached basketball, softball, and flag football in New York City, helping teams earn playoff victories and guiding athletes who later competed at the collegiate level.

Pino earned a degree in Physical Education from Queens College and a master’s degree in Special Education from the City University of New York. A four-year high school basketball player in New Mexico, he earned All-District and All-Metro recognition and served as a team captain.

Pino coaches to help young people identify and pursue their purpose in athletics and in life. Away from school, he enjoys time with family and friends and is an avid listener of 1960s post-bop and hard-bop jazz and 1970s jazz fusion.
