Jonathan Longworth
Coach Jonathan Longworth enters his 1st year at Coppell. Coach Longworth brings 9 total years of coaching experience. His past coaching experience includes Head PE Teacher/Coach Uplift Triumph Prep.
As an athlete, Coach Longworth played Football Tight End at Arlington Lamar HS. He went on to play Football Offensive line at Austin College earning a History degree with a minor in Exercise and Sports Science.
Away from coaching, Coach Longworth enjoys walking his dog, Weezy and fun fact, he played football at AT&T Stadium in 2009, the year it opened. His favorite quote is, “It's not whether you get knocked down, it's whether you get up"- Vince Lombardi
CISD Athletics is filled with coaches that care. When asked “Why you coach”, Coach Longworth responded “I love working with people to help them grow and improve themselves, particularly in athletics. I love building relationships with kids and families as the kids grow and move forward. We learn so much about ourselves and the kind of people we want to be through athletics and we build character that sets us up for lifelong success.”
