Jonathan Longworth serves as a Physical Education Teacher and Athletics Coach at Coppell Middle School West. Before joining Coppell ISD, he spent nine years as the Head Physical Education Teacher at Uplift Triumph Preparatory.

Longworth earned his degree in History from Austin College, where he played offensive line for the football team. At Arlington Lamar High School, he played tight end and earned first-team all-district and academic all-state honorable mention recognition. He also had the opportunity to play at AT&T Stadium during the venue’s opening year.

Longworth coaches to help students become better athletes, scholars, and members of their communities. He values relationships that encourage young people to recognize their strengths, support others, and use what they learn through athletics to make a difference beyond sports.

Outside of school, Longworth enjoys relaxing by the pool, listening to music from the 2000s, discovering restaurants around DFW, watching sports, and spending time with his dog, Weezy—named after his favorite rapper growing up.
