Josh Cox serves as a mathematics teacher and coach at Coppell Middle School North. His coaching responsibilities have included volleyball, basketball, and the long jump and triple jump in track and field. Before joining Coppell ISD, Cox coached volleyball and girls basketball in Stillwater Public Schools in Oklahoma, including a season as the head eighth-grade basketball coach.

Cox earned his degree in Mathematics from Oklahoma State University and played basketball at Saginaw High School. He coaches because he values what sports taught him growing up and enjoys helping students work through difficult challenges. Cox wants athletes to know they have someone they can count on as they learn how to bring out the best in themselves.

Outside of school, Cox enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and being outdoors. He is also working toward visiting every Major League Baseball ballpark.
