Chris Buchanan
Coach Chris Buchanan enters his 7th year at Coppell. He currently serves as the football, basketball, track coach at West Middle School. Coach Buchanan brings 7 total years of coaching experience. An impressive track of success, Coach Buchanan posts Coppell ISD Middle School Coach of the Year .
As an athlete, Coach Buchanan played Football at Dallas Jesuit as a Wide Receiver and Cornerback. He went on to University of North Texas earning a Integrative Studies: History, Psychology, Geography degree.
Away from coaching, Coach Buchanan enjoys Reading. His favorite quote, “The most important step is always the next one.”
CISD Athletics is filled with coaches that care. When asked “Why you coach”, Coach Buchanan responded “I coach to have a positive influence on athletes, co-workers, and parents in Coppell ISD.”
