Austin Yaeger
Coach Austin Yaeger enters his 3rd year at Coppell. He currently serves as the MS PE / Coach at East. Coach Yaeger brings 3 total years of coaching experience. His past coaching experience includes St. Mary of Carmel Athletic Director. An impressive track of success, Coach Yaeger posts 2022-23 Middle School Coach of the Year.
As an athlete, Coach Yaeger played Cross Country, Basketball, Track and Field at Bishop Duane High School with tremendous accolades including All-South Region Cross Country / All-State cross Country / Academic All-State Cross Country / District Champion Cross Country / MVP Cross Country / Freshmen of the Year Cross Country / Back to Back State Champion Track and Field / District Champion Track and Field / MVP Track and Field. He went on to run Cross Country / Track and Field at University of North Texas and Texas A&M - Commerce earning a Kinesiology degree followed by Education Leadership and Curriculum & Instruction master's degree.
Away from coaching, Coach Yaeger enjoys Watching movies and fun fact, he’s been on the radio. His favorite quote, “Asking for help isn't giving up, it's refusing to give up”
CISD Athletics is filled with coaches that care. When asked “Why you coach”, Coach Yaeger responded “I coach to make a positive difference in the lives of ALL student-athletes, as my coaches have done for me.”
