Garrett Barley serves as a coach and Texas history teacher at Coppell Middle School North and has spent eight years coaching in Coppell ISD. His experience includes volleyball, girls basketball, and girls soccer, including a district championship in soccer. Barley earned both his bachelor’s degree in History and master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas.

A former basketball player, Barley coaches because he enjoys seeing students grow—not only as athletes, but as teammates and people. He finds particular fulfillment in watching them gain confidence, overcome challenges, and realize they are capable of more than they thought.

Outside of school, Barley enjoys watching movies and television, hiking, cooking, and building LEGO sets. He is also a devoted Christmas enthusiast.
