Robbie Moen



Coach Robert (Robbie) Moen enters his 1st year at Coppell. He currently serves as the Head Coach Softball. Coach Moen brings 20+ total years of coaching experience. His past coaching experience includes Braswell HS volleyball and softball assistant; Rio Rico HS Assistant Varsity Football; Imagine International Academy- Head Varsity Soccer; Flowing Wells High School Assistant Varsity Football. An impressive track of success, Coach Moen posts 2 years in TCSAL Playoffs in Soccer, 2 girls playing 4 year Softball from Braswell, coached 7 MLB players, over 30 players coached that played MILB, signed 2 MLB players as a Area Scouting Supervisor with the Tampa Bay Rays, 26 players signed as a member of the Rays, lost in final game of European Championships as Head Coach of the Russian National Baseball Team. 


As an athlete, Coach Moen played at Flowing Wells High School: Football- QB, WR, Kick Returner, P:  Baseball- SS with tremendous accolades including Arizona Student Athlete of the Year, 3x All Conference SS in Baseball,  2x All State SS in Baseball, All State WR in Football, 2x All Conference WR/DB in Football. He went on to play Baseball 2B/LF  at University of Arizona earning a Health Sciences degree.


Away from coaching, Coach Moen enjoys Playing Golf and fun fact, he loves quoting slapstick movies. His favorite quote, “Culture doesn't change when a coach tells a player he or she is wrong. It changes when players tell other players: no that's not how we do things here.”


CISD Athletics is filled with coaches that care. When asked “Why you coach”, Coach Moen responded “I coach because of the passion I have for my sport. I was a player who had to outwork everyone to get as high as I did in my career. So I love passing on that work ethic and dedication to the craft, so that my players can achieve their highest level- whatever that may be for them.”
