Wendy Flaherty serves as an Assistant Girls Soccer Coach and teaches Physical Education and Partner PE at Coppell High School. She earned a degree in Education from Huron University and a master’s degree in Special Education from St. Ambrose University.

Flaherty previously led the girls soccer programs at Coppell Middle School West and Lewisville High School. She helped Coppell win the 2025 UIL Class 6A state championship and was named the TASCO All-Region Assistant Coach of the Year. As a student-athlete, she earned All-State and district MVP honors in soccer and later competed in soccer, basketball, and softball in college, earning Academic All-American and All-Conference recognition. Before her high school established a girls soccer team, she played two varsity seasons on the boys team.

Flaherty coaches to give student-athletes the tools to excel at what they love and prepare for life after high school. Away from school, she enjoys supporting fellow coaches and spending time with her family.
