Keenan Kitchens
Coach Keenan Kitchens enters his 2nd year at Coppell. He currently serves as the Defensive Coordinator. Coach Kitchens brings 19 total years of coaching experience. His past coaching experience includes Hereford , Defensive backs (2006-2012); Lubbock Cooper Defensive Coordinator (2013-2018); Athens Defensive Coordinator (2019); New Diana Defensive Coordinator (2020-2021). An impressive track of success, Coach Kitchens posts Playoffs births in 14 of 18 seasons Coached; State Quarterfinalist at Lubbock Cooper (2013); and over 40 players that have signed to play college football.
As an athlete, Coach Kitchens played Football/Basketball/Track at Shallowater High school with tremendous accolades including All District/All Region. He went on to play Football/Safety at Eastern New Mexico University earning a Exercise Sports Science degree.
Away from coaching, Coach Kitchens loves to fish and fun fact, he is a 3rd generation Coach. His favorite quote, “It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.”
CISD Athletics is filled with coaches that care. When asked “Why you coach”, Coach Kitchens responded “I can easily define myself as an educational leader through athletics. I love teaching and impacting players, not only in football, but in life.”
