Keenan Kitchens
Keenan Kitchens serves as the Defensive Coordinator and teaches Physical Education at Coppell High School. His coaching career spans more than two decades and includes stops at Hereford, Lubbock-Cooper, Athens, and New Diana before joining Coppell.
Kitchens earned his degree in Physical Education from Eastern New Mexico University, where he played safety for the Greyhounds. At Shallowater High School, he competed at quarterback and safety and earned all-district and all-area recognition.
Kitchens was named the 2024 Local Star Media All-Area Assistant Coach of the Year and was part of the Coppell staff recognized as the District 5-6A Coaching Staff of the Year. His approach emphasizes preparation, physical effort, and each player taking responsibility for his role within the defense.
Kitchens coaches because he enjoys working with young people and being part of something larger than himself. He values the relationships formed through football and makes time to connect with players beyond practices and games.
Outside of school, Kitchens enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, and following Texas Tech athletics.
