Coach Dominique Scales enters his 3rd year at Coppell. He currently serves as the XC Ast, WBB Ast. Coach Scales brings 9 total years of coaching experience. His past coaching experience includes Shelton, Head Basketball Coach. An impressive track of success, Coach Scales posts 2023 State Semi-Finals. 

As an athlete, Coach Scales played Basketball & Track at American Heritage Academy in Carrollton, TX and South Kent Prep in South Kent, CT with tremendous accolades including All State Basketball. He went on to play college basketball at the JUCO, D1, & D2 level: North Lake, Casper College, University of Maine, East Central University earning a Kinesiology degree. 

Away from coaching, Coach Scales enjoys Fishing and fun fact, he Spent Thanksgiving in South Korea one year with his family. 

CISD Athletics is filled with coaches that care. When asked “Why you coach”, Coach Scales responded “I coach because I love teaching life lessons through sports.”
