Zack Gonzalez
Coach Zachary Gonzalez enters his 3rd year at Coppell. He currently serves as the Assistant Football and Assistant Track coach. Coach Gonzalez brings 5 total years of coaching experience. His past coaching experience includes Woodrow Wilson. An impressive track of success, Coach Gonzalez posts 3 year State Championship track qualifier and 4 years in playoffs.
As an athlete, Coach Gonzalez played Football (linebacker) and ran Track (hurdles, sprints, high jump). He went on to walk-on as a safety for University of Texas football earning a Youth and Community Studies degree.
Away from coaching, Coach Gonzalez enjoys Playing with his baby girl and fun fact, his dad and brother are both coaches, 34 years and 2 years respectively. His favorite quote, “No one has greater love than this, to lay down one's life for one's friends.”
CISD Athletics is filled with coaches that care. When asked “Why you coach”, Coach Gonzalez responded “To demonstrate to the next generation that consistently doing hard things for the sake of others is the truest path to fulfillment.”
