Craig Able
Coach Craig Able enters his 8th year at Coppell. He currently serves as the Head Girls Soccer Coach. Coach Able brings 9 total years of coaching experience. His past coaching experience includes Coppell MS East, Coppell HS- Varsity Assistant Football O-Line & Head Freshmen Football/Varsity Assistant Boys Soccer, Marcus HS- Boys Soccer Varsity Assistant, Coppell HS- Girls Soccer Varsity Assistant, and Coppell HS- Girls Soccer Head Coach. An impressive track of success, Coach Able posts Marcus Boys Soccer- 6-6A District Champions, multiple playoff appearances, head coaching record of 16-8-3, and Players Coached at Next Level: Football- Alvin Ebosele (Baylor University), Febechi Nwaiwu (North Texas University), Boys Soccer- Woody Pondeca (Mercer University), Adam Lansdown (University of Missouri-Kansas City), Noah Barnard (DBU), Zac Castro (DBU), Jacob Akin (Florida Gulf Coast), Avery Estell (St. Mary's), Gage Riley (Hardin Simmons)Girls Soccer: Michelle Pak (University of Oklahoma), Reneta Vargas (Baylor University), Bailey Peek (Rice University), Amanda Pisciotta (Upper Iowa University), Bella McGill (Oklahoma Wesleyan), Jennifer Murcia (University of Central Lancashire).
As an athlete, Coach Able played Soccer and Football with tremendous accolades including 1st Team All District and 1st Team All Region- Soccer. He went on to play Club Soccer at Baylor University earning a Secondary Education & History degree.
Away from coaching, Coach Able enjoys Hiking and enjoys time with his wife and two boys, ages 2 and 4. His favorite quote, “Every choice is a chance. Your choices define you much more than any skills or talents you have.”
CISD Athletics is filled with coaches that care. When asked “Why you coach”, Coach Able responded “I coach to help the next generation reach their maximum potential on and off the field. I want to be a resource for them and help them accomplish their goals.”
