Coach Will Tran enters his 5th year at Coppell. He currently serves as the Assistant Girls Basketball coach. Coach Tran brings 8 total years of coaching experience. His past coaching experience includes Coppell East - Middle School Boys; Palestine Westwood - Head Girls Basketball; Sam Rayburn - Boys Basketball Varsity Assistant; Coppell High - Girls Basketball Varsity Assistant. As an athlete, Coach Tran played Basketball - Guard. He went on to Texas Tech University earning a Marketing degree.
Away from coaching, Coach Tran enjoys Working out and fun fact, he cannot swim. CISD Athletics is filled with coaches that care. When asked “Why you coach”, Coach Tran responded “Education is all about relationships. The depth of relationship you build while coaching is unmatched. I love seeing kids that learn how to work and deal with adversity and how it grows them as a person.”
