Gary Beyer serves as the Head Girls Golf Coach and teaches health science at Coppell High School. When he joined the CHS faculty in 2017, Beyer brought 20 years of experience teaching emergency medical services part time at Tarrant County College. He helped develop Coppell’s pharmacology, medical assistant, and EMT programs, giving students opportunities to earn professional certifications before graduation.

Before moving into education full time, Beyer spent 17 years serving the Coppell community as a firefighter-paramedic. He earned a degree in Public Safety Administration from Grand Canyon University and draws upon his emergency-response experience in both the classroom and coaching. Beyer believes teaching and coaching share the same purpose: serving others and helping young people grow.

His golf teams have made repeated trips to the state tournament, finishing third at the 2024 UIL Class 6A State Championship before winning the state title in 2025.

Away from the classroom and golf course, Beyer enjoys golfing and cooking. His varied career has also included time as a flight attendant.
