Nick Shaw
Coach Nick Shaw enters his 4th year at Coppell. He currently serves as the Assistant Basketball coach. Coach Shaw brings 13 total years of coaching experience. His past coaching experience includes Arlington Bowie, Midland College, and Stephen F Austin State University.
As an athlete, Coach Shaw played Basketball and Baseball with tremendous accolades including District MVP. He went on to play Basketball at Stephen F Austin University earning a Business Management degree.
Away from coaching, Coach Shaw enjoys Spending time with his kids and Watching football and fun fact, he Periodically holds his breath for no reason. His favorite quote, “You miss a 100% of the shots you don't take”
CISD Athletics is filled with coaches that care. When asked “Why you coach”, Coach Shaw responded “Coaching allows me to empower individuals, helping them unlock their potential, set and achieve meaningful goals, and navigate challenges with newfound clarity and confidence. Witnessing athletes' growth and transformation in others is incredibly rewarding and motivating.”
