Chip Lowery
Coach Chip Lowery enters his 22nd year at Coppell. He currently serves as the Head Boys Wrestling Coach. Coach Lowery brings 31 total years of coaching experience. His past coaching experience includes head wrestling coach at Leon HS and Gateway HS. He also has 21 years of Cross Country coaching experience. An impressive track of success, Coach Lowery posts Texas Wrestling Coaches Association Hall Of Fame. 600 plus victories, State Asst. Coach of the Year. State Head Coach of the Year.
As an athlete, Coach Lowery participated in Wrestling, Football, Cross County, Track with tremendous accolades including All-State in Wrestling. Conference Champion. He went on to wrestle at Florida State University earning a Education degree.
Away from coaching, Coach Lowery enjoys being outdoors and fun fact, he used to surf everyday in middle school. His favorite quote, “Do not sacrifice what you want most for what you want right now.”
CISD Athletics is filled with coaches that care. When asked “Why you coach”, Coach Lowery responded “I coach to help develop young people into strong young men and women. I benefited from a coach during my high school career and want to pay back.”
