Coach Ryan Murphy enters his 7th year at Coppell. He currently serves as the Head Girls Basketball. Coach Murphy brings 11 total years of coaching experience. His coaching experience includes Coppell Head Girls Basketball, Coppell Assistant Boys Basketball, Smithfield Middle School Coach. An impressive track of success, Coach Murphy posts 106 wins, State Semifinal appearance, Coached Indiana University player, and District 6-6A Coach of the year. 

As an athlete, Coach Murphy played Basketball at Warren Township High School with tremendous accolades including Conference Player of the Year, First Team All Area. He went on to attend Wisconsin Parkside University earning a History degree followed by a Special Education masters degree. 

Away from coaching, Coach Murphy enjoys Playing Sports and fun fact, he Worked as a paper salesman. 

CISD Athletics is filled with coaches that care. When asked “Why you coach”, Coach Murphy responded “To be a positive male role model in the lives of the athletes and create a rewarding experience through the game of basketball.”
