Coach Brandon Barnes enters his 7th year at Coppell. He currently serves as Athletic Trainer. Coach Barnes brings 18 total years of experience. His past experience includes Venus HS, Head AT 2005-2008, The Woodlands High School, Assistant AT 2008-2016.

As an athlete, Coach Barnes participated in Football - OL/DL, Track - Discus with tremendous accolades including 1st team All District OL. He went on to University of Texas at Arlington earning an Athletic Training degree followed by an Education Administration Masters.

Away from coaching, Coach Barnes enjoys smoking foods and fun fact, he works out a lot because he eat a lot. His favorite quote, ““I’m kind of a big deal. People know me.” – Ron Burgundy.” CISD Athletics is filled with coaches that care. When asked “Why you coach”, Coach Barnes responded “To make a positive impact on those around me.”
