Yvette Carson serves as the Head Athletic Trainer and teaches Sports Medicine for Coppell ISD. She has spent more than two decades caring for Coppell student-athletes and previously worked at Lamar High School and the Baylor Tom Landry Fitness Center.

Carson earned a degree in Kinesiology from The University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree in Liberal Arts from Southern Methodist University. The daughter of a coach, she grew up on the sidelines and understands athletics from both the competitive and medical sides. She chose high school athletic training because it allows her to work with a wide variety of people while helping athletes remain healthy and pursue their goals.

Outside of work, Carson enjoys reading, knitting, biking, and water sports—and can knit in the dark.
